    Just got to recommend this lad on FM2017

    Playing on FM 2017 right now and I'm not sure whether people make posts where they recommend players, but can I just recommend this player here. Not sure whether people know him. Hugo Basto, a CB playing for Arouca at the beginning of the game. Still relatively young too. I saw him on a rando list of recommended players on another site, and with Diego Llorente going back to Real Madrid (high wage demands, so didn't sign him down) I thought it'd be a decent risk to take. I bought him from Arouca for 1.8M pounds for Malaga at the start of the second season and...he's been an absolute beast for me; Some of it is probably down to the tactics I'm using, but even with that in mind, he's never had an off game for me, literally just checked his form to be sure and he's never had a rating below 6.9 (maximum rating was 9.0). Since Arouca aren't a strong team if you're any half decent team in the top 5 leagues you should probably be able to get him for around that amount (helps for me that I managed to get into Continental qualification spots in my first season), which is complete peanuts; his wage demands are relatively cheap too and he's got balanced attributes all round. Even his personality is Fairly Professional; checked his hidden attributes to make double sure and he's got good attributes there as well. Just wanted to share this guy and if you're still playing 2017 like me and have need of a good defender, check him out. Definitely worth the money.

    Championship Manager is a series of football-management games developed by the Collyer brothers. The first game was released in 1992, and the series is what essentially became "Football Manager" more than a decade later. The games are abandonware and cannot be bought anymore (unless you find a used copy someone is reselling). I've attached a list of the Championship Manager games in their order of release for anyone interested in playing them. Each download comes with instructions to guide you through the installation process. I've also put in bold the game's which you should try first if you're new to the Championship Manager series.     If you're going to offer a player a contract, lower your wage budget the most you can, this made a players contract demands go from 1M per month to 400k

    I just found this one out but, if you get the message that one of your players is a team's number one target, reject the first few offers, Real Madrid started at 50M and has so far pushed all the way to 140M for a player valued at 43M because he's their top target.

    I'll start, FM17 I think, edited CR7 into Manchester United and sim'd the entire season, he scored 70 goals in the PL alone. 6 in 1 game once.

    My lowley Brisbane Roar team inexplicably beat a full-strength Barcelona in the Club World Cup. this was the (apparent) winning goal in extra time from the local lad who went on to get a hattrick.
