Won a World Cup for first time with my country Posted: 02 Feb 2019 05:45 PM PST My friends do not play this game so I wanted to share my last save here with someone. I started this save in October (FM17) of last year with Santiago Wanderers, the team from my city (ValparaÃso), with the goal of transforming the club into the best in Chile puting effort in form young talent. I stayed in the club from 2016 to 2026 with the name "Moises Villarroel" and ex real player of the club, winning everything in Chile from season 2019 onwards and dominating the Copa Libertadores since 2021 but i won my first Libertadores in 2019. I achieved Club World Cup in 2019 (vs Monaco), 2022 (vs Man City) and 2025 (vs Chelsea). In 2018 Juan Pizzi was fired so I put myself in charge of Chile for the first time and played the Copa America of 2019. I managed to advance second in my group behind Uruguay and got destroyed 3-0 by Brazil (the champions of that cup against Argentina) in quarterfinals. I ragequit Chile for the frustration of not being able to do something better with the last chance of the "golden generation"(Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Medel, Aranguiz, Claudio Bravo... you know), that team played awful for me. In 2021 Guillermo Hoyos qualify Chile (4°) to the World Cup of 2022 but leave the national team to manage a club, dont know the club because in my game he is already retired and I can not see it now. So I ask to lead Chile and they give me the team again. In that World Cup in the group stage there was a three-way tie at 6 points between Germany, Italy and Chile but we advanced by goal difference. Manage to beat Spain 3-1 in second round and again... got destroyed by Brazil 1-3 in quarterfinals. That World Cup was won by Croatia beating Brazil 4-1 in the final. I almost left that save there but the Olympic Games of 2024 were coming. I had good kids in Santiago Wanderers and know good players in the national league and I wanted to see if I could get something there. That cup is for players under 23 and I won the gold medal by beating Germany in the final .I was happy and I really liked that team so decided to play a last World Cup with that players as a base for the national team. I played the qualifiers and got the fourth place. Although we played well and dominated alot of matches, we lost many games foolishly. Chile was basically Santiago Wanderers, in fact I went to the World Cup with 16 players from my team and 3 former players from Wanderers. Chile Squad - Some key players: Cristóbal Venegas - Enzo Roco - Jaime Carreño - Marcelo Allende - Pablo Galdames Something that would be key is that Alessandro, a player who signed up for my team for free in 2021, was nationalized a month before the World Cup since he played 5 years in Chile. (Alessandro History) World Cup of 2026, we won our group by drawing with England scoreless, beating Australia 3-0 and beating Denmark 2-1. In second round we face a complicated Switzerland where we draw 2-2 in the 90 minutes but we score 3 on extra time, we won 5-2. In quarterfinals we beat Russia 2-0. In the semifinals I was afraid because Belgium had won us a friendly match before, but in this World Cup we managed to win to my surprise 3-0.In the final we face Brazil, it was a sad joke at first, but we did it, in a complicated game we managed to win by a single goal. Alessandro won the golden boot with 6 goals. I have been playing this game since FM08 and I have never won a World Cup before. It never caught my attention to direct a national team. Thanks in case anyone takes the time to read this, I really enjoyed this long save and wanted to tell it, anyway this post help me to save the memory for myself. If I wrote something wrong, I'm sorry, my English is basic. [link] [comments]

Want to play a challenging team? Posted: 02 Feb 2019 06:34 PM PST Try playing with Galatasaray. They have a FPP regulation for four years. This means they can only buy as much as they sell for the first 4 seasons of the game. Also they have a foreign limit of 14 players in the league. [link] [comments]

Have you got any tips that you think a lot of people might not know? Posted: 02 Feb 2019 12:35 AM PST It's the weekend. Let's get share some tips so we can all become better managers. Some of these you will probably know but some you may not. Here are mine: When trying to sell a player, offer him to all clubs but don't assign a value to him. Most of the time clubs will come in above what you expect and it's also easier to negotiate sell on clauses this way. When losing at half time (especially by one goal), telling the players 'I expect better from you in the second half' in an angry tone will usually produce some kind of comeback. This also works if you are favourites to win and you are drawing. If you have your game set so that you can see all attributes. A good way to find talented youngsters is to search for all main attributes as 10 (stuff like long throw and penalties are not important) and then change the 'Match 30/30' down to a level so that you get around 100 players. Then scout all of those players. You can do this with 15-18 year olds. I'd love to hear some of your tips that you think people might not know. [link] [comments]
